Distributed Energy Clearinghouse® Closes $500K Pre-Seed Funding Round

Houston, TX — Distributed Energy Clearinghouse® (DECH) announced the successful close of a $500,000 pre-seed funding round, led by Chandler Capital. The funds will be used to support the continued development and upcoming launch of DECH’s SaaS analytics platform designed to help stakeholders better understand the financial value of distributed energy investments.

Distributed Energy Clearinghouse® is built to support project developers, consultants, and larger energy users by providing clear, data-driven insight into the complex value stack behind distributed energy resources (DERs). The platform enables users to evaluate the financial profile of projects across multiple technologies, including battery storage, solar, solar-plus-storage, and clean-fuel engines.

“Distributed energy projects offer significant opportunity, but their value is often difficult to quantify due to market complexity, varying utility rates, and regulatory differences,” said CEO and Founder of DECH, Richard Zdunkewicz. Distributed Energy Clearinghouse® is designed to bring clarity to that complexity by translating technical and market inputs into actionable financial insight.”

Supporting Better Energy Investment Decisions

As the need for distributed energy continues to grow, developers and end users face increasing pressure to evaluate projects across multiple value streams, from energy savings and capacity payments to resilience and long-term operational considerations. Distributed Energy Clearinghouse® addresses this challenge by providing a unified analytics framework that helps users assess project economics more confidently and consistently.

The platform was developed with a focus on

  • Robust analysis of the full distributed energy value stack
  • Flexibility across regions and technologies
  • Practical usability for real-world project evaluation
  • Ease in customization for both novices and subject matter experts

The pre-seed investment supports engineering, product development, and early customer engagement as DECH prepares for its first public release.
